Thursday Thoughts and a Game Changer for technical information? In this weeks episode we look at all of the industry news from around the world of technical information, including: UTC Aerospace Systems signing new support contract with FOKER, Columbia Helicopters signing an agreement with GE Aviation.

Cyber security is the hot topic of the week with Thales announcing further investment in their BYOE capability as well as an interesting piece on how connected (IoT) products, including aircraft, are at higher risk today than they ever have been!
Rolls-Royce appears again in this weeks Thursday Thoughts and specifically around activities in India, from engine news to AI and IoT – Rolls-Royce seem to be driving investment in this innovation area – a further mention of Rolls-Royce and Boeing investing in space engine technology – an area of investment that we are sure will only increase.
The $13.5m upgrading of facilities in Portsmouth by BAE Systems will see a drive toward AI and a connected ship and an interesting news piece from the US Naval Surface Warfare Center on all information types, including training, coming together and living in one common source database.

Major wins for Meggitt and their braking systems division to the South Korean Air Force. Sikorski and Rheinmetall appear in the news as well as the major Federal Aviation Authority ruling in the United States around maintenance information – will it be a shift change in attitude toward the rights to use technical and maintenance information?
