Who TDW Is Not For
Clarity matters as much as capability.
Technical Documentation World (TDW) is a deliberate choice.
That means our work is not right for everyone—and that is intentional.
This page exists to set expectations clearly, protect focus on meaningful work, and ensure that when organisations engage with TDW, it is for the right reasons.
We Are Not Software Resellers
TDW does not sell, resell, recommend, or promote software platforms.
We do not:
- bundle training with tool licences
- shape advice to fit a product roadmap
- present tooling as a substitute for understanding
Our role is to help organisations define what they need before they decide how to implement it.
Tools come later—and only when the requirements are clear.
We Are Not Specification-Only Trainers
TDW does not teach specifications in isolation.
We do not:
- repeat clause-by-clause walkthroughs without context
- treat compliance as an end in itself
- position specifications as solutions rather than enablers
Specifications matter—but only when applied with intent, interpretation, and awareness of consequence.
If the goal is to memorise rules rather than understand impact, TDW is not the right fit.
We Do Not Deliver Superficial or Compliance-Only Training
TDW training is not designed for box-ticking.
We do not:
- provide lightweight "overview" training that avoids complexity
- dilute difficult topics for the sake of speed or comfort
- promise quick wins without acknowledging trade-offs
Our training is designed to build judgement, not dependency.
That requires depth, honesty, and engagement with real-world challenges.
We Do Not Align to Vendor or Commercial Agendas
TDW is intentionally independent.
We do not:
- align our narrative to suppliers, platforms, or frameworks
- tailor training to support commercial positioning
- soften critical thinking to maintain partnerships
This independence allows us to ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions, and give advice that serves the organisation, not the ecosystem around it.
What This Means in Practice
TDW works best with organisations that:
- value understanding over reassurance
- are prepared to question long-held assumptions
- recognise that data and IPS decisions carry long-term consequence
- want people to leave training thinking more clearly, not just differently
If you are looking for:
- fast answers
- product validation
- surface-level compliance
TDW may not be the right choice.
If you are looking for:
- clarity
- confidence
- long-term capability
You are in the right place.
A Deliberate Choice
TDW is not designed to appeal to everyone.
It is designed to support organisations that take data, support, and decision-making seriously—and who understand that the cost of getting it wrong is far greater than the cost of doing it properly.
